Although he has no musical knowledge, he still manages to bring the musicality to his tracks, besides the rhythm and bass basic structure of electronic House music. As a DJ he started mixing in 2006 in clubs and bars. He got a 1 year residency at a club, and the chance to play in main and after-hours events at other clubs. In 2008 he entered the international Heineken Thirst Competition with a track that impressed the jury and the public.
After some studio work, he managed to release his first LP, the “Hey!” LP, in July 2008. His second LP appeared shortly, in October 2008, called “Night Shift”. This second LP contains a track called “Fast Nights” that was sent to Pete Tong’s Fast Trax Show. It entered its contest and qualified for 3rd place. The track received great feedback from DJ’s around the world. In 2009 Octav played at different radio shows and got more known in the Romanian electronic music scene. He also gets into the rooster of an agency promoting new talented DJ’s and producers.
As from the middle of 2009 Octav changed his style of music to a deeper part of House music. Who knows what will come next …
